Pete Adlem is a painter and decorator of rare ability and a nice guy to have working around the place. Our house is a fair size and Pete has painted the outside three times now and most of the interior at least twice and I wouldn't let anyone else touch it. His preparation work is thorough and he doesn't seem to mind doing the small repair jobs that many decorators would insist are done by someone else. His standard of painting of internal and external woodwork, metalwork, ceiling and walls is above criticism - there is no stinting on the numbers of coats and they remain looking good long enough to forget when they were last done. When it comes to wallpapering, Pete is the maestro; his attention to detail and his skill in tackling the tricky bits provide enduring evidence of his special talent for years afterwards.

Pete is also fully house trained! He works quietly and unobtrusively and, so importantly, he is neat and tidy, clearing up as he goes along and is very thoughtful in the way he minimizes the inevitable dust. He is completely trustworthy and can be relied on to work in the house on his own and to lock up when he leaves.

I have no hesitation in giving Pete Adlem the highest recemmendation to anyone considering using him. Although I think his rates are reasonable, I am sure he has never been the cheapest. I am equally sure no-one would do a better job. - R Atherton
